About Dave

Dave started playing guitar at age 6, exploring chords and writing instrumentals. After 9 months at Atlanta Institute of Music, he moved to Nashville in 1990 as a songwriter/singer. Some critics said that his instrumentals stood out above his singing…and he knew what they meant. Soon after that, he recorded original Rock/Jazz instrumentals with his band (engineering by John Mills [Jeff Beck]), played as a guitar soloist in the Cascades room at Opryland Hotel, and once played on stage with Muriel Anderson.

Dave’s dream is do a Yanni or Pat Metheny type thing with a full band and sax/trumpet solos, guitar/violin duos, guitar solo’s, and dance. He continues to write and play at coffee shops, Art galleries, and special events.

Musical Approach

“When I write a song, it’s usually about what I’m going through at the time. It starts with either hearing a melody line, or working out a groove on guitar.”
